Today I kept working on refining the script. This time I concentrated on the final act. The changes were primarily once again working on pacing by getting rid of lines that weren’t necessary, ensuring the character arcs ended well, and refining lines to make them read better. In other words, it’s more improving the script. The script is in a far better shape now after three weeks of editing.
Of course, the script isn’t done yet. It won’t be done until I edit it but for now I’m going to leave it alone. I want to take some time, let it settle in my mind, and come back to it with fresh eyes. I’m confident that by the time I’ve gotten funding and actually start shooting the film, we’ll have the best script possible of Eternal Camping.
There was going to be a meeting with Maria today but it got pushed until tomorrow. Expect that update to come late since a lot of the strategy work depends on how much progress she’s made this week.
