Today I kept working on getting a crew for the Indiegogo video. I am getting closer and making progress but as it turns out, it’s more difficult to get a free crew in Los Angeles than I had anticipated. I’ve been reaching out to more people, trying to get the word out more by going to colleges, and even reaching out to companies that I used to intern at. I’m hoping by end of day tomorrow to have people.
If I can’t find a crew by the end of tomorrow, I’ll have to make a choice: postpone the shoot until I can get a crew in place or try to shoot the video without a crew. While I can handle the camera work by myself, it would be the audio that I’d really be concerned with. The camera stands on it’s own thanks to the tripod but I do need someone to hold the mike.
The good news is that the only issue is the crew. Whether I shoot it on January 30th or a later date, I still have my location (my apartment) and my equipment.
[*] Thank you to everyone who has auditioned so far! As a note, I don’t plan on really reviewing the submissions until February rolls around. If you are interested in auditioning, please click the arrow to the right of the screen and click the link to go to the Backstage page. I especially need submissions for Houston, Laredo, Antonio, and Dallas.
