There are two parts of the Indiegogo video: the teaser and the pitch. The preparations for the pitch are well under way as I am finding a crew and preparing to buy the equipment next week. For the teaser, I’m accepting audio reels to voice the characters. I still have to figure out how to get footage of woods.
One of the things I need to do before I launch the Indiegogo campaign is establish two companies. A parent company and then a subsidiary LLC. This way the money I raise doesn’t go into my private bank account and instead is in a separate, business account for payroll and expense purposes. It’s also where the profit would go.
Today I did some research on how to start a company in Los Angeles. Even though production will take place outside of Los Angeles, I know that I at least want the parent company to be where I live.
